It is supportive--I walked about 15k steps a day through London for a week with very little pain. It's easy to put on and fit to my leg. The only negative: it gets sweaty and a bit stinky if I don't rinse it off at night.

    I have bone-on-bone arthritis in one of my knees and do need a replacement. In the meantime, I am using this brace to help. This is the second one of these I have purchased. I wore the first one a lot and the velcro did start getting a bit worn out, but I am still using it. I just wanted a new one so I had a spare. These are very easy to put on and they stay put for a long time. By the end of the day, it will slip a bit. They have pieces in them that help give the knee support. This is not a medical grade brace by any means, but I find it to be comfortable and does make me feel like my knee is not going to slide or buckle.

    This knee brace is designed to help stabilize the patella, which is does for the most part. It is well padded and comfortable, with the opening around the knee cap providing pressure in just the right spots. It is highly adjustable to fit most, but has a problem with staying tight/ in place when worn being active. I would say this brace is best used for around the house or resting after physical therapy.

    So i normally struggle with most knee brace supports. Usually they either slide down, or they're too tight on top. (Or both.) So usually the ones with patellar support wind up having to be re-adjusted frequently, as the support-part would press ON my knee. Not so with this one. I think it's because of how the straps work. It goes on my knee just-right, and stays in place. I do find, worn directly against the skin, after a while the velcro annoys my sensitive skin. Even not directly-touching, my skin feels the edge of it. It is more comfortable worn Over my pants-leg. The brace fits really well either way, and is very helpful for knee pain.
